Grant Thornton launches Flexible People Solutions

Grant Thornton launches Flexible People Solutions in response to growing challenge of attracting and retaining talent for businesses across Ireland.

  • New service will provide talent on short- and medium-term bases across variety of sectors
  • New offering will provide flexibility to employees unavailable for long-term permanent employment

Grant Thornton Ireland has launched a new service offering businesses flexible talent solutions with experienced professionals available on short- and medium- terms bases. The Flexible People Solutions offering comes at a time when businesses across many industries are struggling to access talent in a post-Covid and full employment landscape.

Grant Thornton has a strong track record in providing experienced teams to clients, supporting their needs, and working closely with people from across clients’ operations. However, in recognition of increasing pressures on staffing client teams internally, Flexible People Solutions will provide a pool of experienced talent that can quickly embed into team structures so that businesses and organisations can continue to achieve their goals.

This pool of experienced professionals ready and primed to insert into client teams is also growing as professionals seek more flexible project-based roles.

Speaking of the new service offering, Fergus Condon, Partner and Head of Financial Accounting and Advisory Services (FAAS) with Grant Thornton said,

"The workforce is evolving and changing at a much faster pace than we have seen in decades, and Grant Thornton’s new Flexible People Solutions service is designed to respond to this.

‘Our clients tell us they need people for their business without the commitment of hiring a full-time employee and this does exactly that; it offers experienced people across a range of levels from newly qualified professions to Director who will adapt quickly using their expertise to fulfil the client’s need.

‘There is a lot of uncertainty out there in terms of the economy, changing environments, rising costs, and inflation, and so flexibility and adaptability are required. That is exactly what we are offering here."

The Grant Thornton International Business Report survey carried out in the first half of 2022 found that almost half (45%) of businesses in Ireland report access to talent as a constraint to growth.

The areas of expertise available through Grant Thornton’s Flexible People Solutions include budgeting and forecasting, compliance and financial statement preparation, mergers and acquisitions integration, project management, and technical accounting.
