James O’Sullivan

James joined Grant Thornton in 2022 as part of the Deal Advisory team and brings ten years of corporate finance experience.

Prior to joining Grant Thornton, James worked in the Valuation & Modelling division at two 'Big 4' firms in Ireland, Mexico, and Switzerland. He was also the Portfolio Manager for a private equity fund based in Switzerland. 

His main area of expertise is in valuation & modelling, and transaction advisory services.

Sector Experience

James has advised clients across a range of sectors including financial services, industrials, energy, construction, and manufacturing. 

James’ recent experience includes;

• Sell-side advisor to Schivo Medical on its recapitalisation and investment by Five Arrows;
• Sell-side advisor to EHF29 for a minority share sale to Baroc Asset Management;
• Provided several company and growth equity valuations for financial reporting and tax purposes;
• Performed several purchase price allocations in accordance with IFRS and US GAAP;
• Provided financial modelling services to several Irish businesses to support their forecasting and capital allocation initiatives;
• Built a financial and operating model for an Irish Whiskey business.
