AnneMarie Curtin

Experience

AnneMarie is a Director in our banking practice in Risk Advisory. AnneMarie joined Grant Thornton in February 2023. She has over 20 years’ experience in finance, risk management and prudential regulation. Her career has included senior roles in both the banking industry and supervisory authorities. AnneMarie has practical experience in advising on and implementing regulatory requirements in institutions, particularly in the aftermath of Brexit.

AnneMarie held the role of Head of Recovery & Resolution for a European subsidiary of a global US bank (based in Ireland). In her earlier career, she lead supervisory teams at both the Central Bank of Ireland and The Bank of England during a period of immense regulatory change following the global financial crisis

AnneMarie has experience in the following:

  • Supporting firms in multiple jurisdictions (credit institutions, investment firms) with license authorisations
  • Advising institutions regarding their obligations under various regulations: CRR, CRD IV, BRRD, and MiFID
  • Leading projects to implement European supervisory expectations around capital, liquidity, recovery and resolution planning for global banks operating in the EU
  • Deep knowledge of following prudential requirements: ICAAP, ILAAP, Risk Frameworks, MREL forecasting, Capital Adequacy Statements and Overall Recovery Capacity.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Economics from Trinity College, Dublin
  • Masters in Investment & Treasury from Dublin City University
  • Postgraduate Diploma in Computer Science from University College Dublin
