Experience
Áine joined Grant Thornton Ireland in 2022 as Head of Sustainability and since that time has been leading the firm and its people on their journey to net zero. She brings more than 15 years of experience working in both external and internal sustainability leadership and advisory roles.
Áine has dedicated her career to addressing climate action, biodiversity and the role that business plays in addressing global challenges and national policy commitments. She has helped organisations to develop sustainability strategies and measure progress in reaching their goals.
Her experience has centred on supporting organisations, senior leaders and teams in understanding and effectively leveraging the connection between sustainability and financial/non-financial risks to advance organisational strategies and have a positive impact on community.
Áine has worked in a variety of sectors in both Ireland and Canada including professional services, energy and higher education.
Áine has strong industry experience and her related specialties include:
