The event commences at 8:00am with a light breakfast followed by a keynote address at 8:30am from Eoin Sheanon – (Ireland’s Financial Services Attaché) as well as a thought provoking panel discussion covering topics such as Basel III reforms, DORA, PSD 2 review, European Consumer Credit Directive Review and the European Sustainable Finance agenda.

Eoin Sheanon – European Union Banking and Payments Policymaker - Ireland’s Financial Services Attaché.
Eoin Sheanon is a senior EU policy maker, and Ireland’s Financial Services Attaché, representing Ireland and the Department of Finance in European Council working parties on banking, consumer, digital and sustainable finance files. Eoin has been seconded to the Department of Foreign Affairs from the Central Bank of Ireland, where he was previously the Head of Policy Implementation in the Banking Supervision Division.
Over the past number of months Eoin has represented Ireland at the Council Working Parties on the EU banking package implementing Basel III, the Digital Operational Resilience Act, the Markets in Crypto Assets Regulation, the EU Green Bonds Standard Regulation, and the review of Consumer Credit Directive, among others.
Before joining the Central Bank, Eoin held various roles in the Oireachtas, including as EU Policy Clerk to Oireachtas Joint Committees and as an Economic Advisor in the Oireachtas Research Service. Eoin also spent four years working as an Economic Advisor on the European Parliament’s Economic and Monetary Affairs Committee.
